Dubai: Following the conclusion of the Hajj season, Saudi Arabia has announced the resumption of electronic visa issuance for Umrah pilgrims, effective from June 19. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that Muslims worldwide can now apply for these visas through the "Nusk" App, allowing them to visit the country and perform their religious rituals starting from Muharram 1445 AH (July 19).

The Ministry confirmed that The Nusk App has been designed to simplify the process for Muslims intending to travel to Mecca and Medina. The app is available on both Andriod and IOS Platforms. It offers a range of services, including housing, accommodation, mobility and provides comprehensive information and interactive maps in multiple languages. Operating 24/7, the platform ensures easy access to all necessary services for the pilgrims.  


In collaboration with relevant authorities, the Ministry also noted that individuals holding visit visas for tourism purposes residing in Gulf countries, as well as those with entry visas to Schengen countries, the United States, and the United Kingdom, can book appointments to perform Umrah and visit the Holy Kaaba through the Nusk application before their arrival in Saudi Arabia.  

Reduced Insurance Cost
Additionally, the Ministry announced a significant reduction in the insurance amount for Umrah performers by 63 percent, while maintaining high standards of health services. The issuance time for Umrah visas has been expedited to less than 24 hours, and their validity extended from 30 to 90 days.

There are no specific health requirements or mahram (male guardian) requirements for women, facilitating a more comfortable travel experience within Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to enhance the pilgrims' religious and cultural journey, enabling them to explore the country's unique cultural diversity.
